Who says you can't party on a Monday Night . I take it back to the old school and to the present and to future and this is rarity but hey it's Summer in the city still why not? I am having a Novela moment the venue fits the bill. Novela is my type of vibe especially when there is open bar. When I say Novela not the drama from Telanovela which my friends and family who are addicted to drama watch on television. People from all across the country are here to revive San Francisco tech scene. Lots of good music and drinks flowing. Then their food that is catered but hey they got Patata Bravas from the motherland ( Spain )staple. The AI community runs deep all across nation . From Denver to Philadelphia . But we are here to have a good time . They had the artichoke dip and other size bites to pair with the open bar variety. Then this off the menu Nolan drink had heat like the baseball player Nolan Ryan. It was whiskey , lime and pineapple ( this is off the menu). Then there is a Pinot Noir, the Champagne, the unknown sparkling drink, and then the whiskey on the rocks and then some. Novela had the jam bumping all night. This is the place to get started for the night and the place to lounge. I like to enjoy life as an San Francisco Urban dweller Hang out at in Downtown San Francisco and have a drink at Novela

Beautifully sophisticated and romantic bar in San Francisco. The music is a vibe, and they have gorgeous decor. Their drink menu is extensive and literature themed. This spot is great for groups with varying taste in spirits. The staff at the door was super friendly, although the service inside wasn't the best. They have table seating and staff serving your table which is great! Our server seemed bothered that we weren't ordering multiple rounds of drinks. Other than that- the experience was fun!

AMBIANCE: The ambiance here is very sophisticated. Well decorated with shelves of books and sofa seating on one side and table seating on the other side of the bar that's located in the center. The space has low lighting which sets a lovely mood for dates. Upon entry, you can smell a lovely candle burning with really sets the tone if you're trying to impress your date! SERVICE: Attentive and very courteous staff. FOOD: The Brussel sprouts here are amazing and we order it every time we come here. I highly recommend their Brussel sprouts. The ceviche is a very small portion and it was more diced chili than any other ingredient so don't order it if you don't like spicy ceviche. I would also consider it more of a Peruvian ceviche than Mexican ceviche. The albóndigas are more like (5) dry meatballs covered in bbq sauce. As a Latina, I wouldn't call them albóndigas and I wouldn't recommend those. DRINKS: My favorite cocktail of all time in the entire Bay Area was the Queen Calanthe (rum, pineapple, butter macadamia nut, lemon) here but as of August 2024 they removed it from the menu so I don't see myself coming as often as I was anymore. I also wouldn't recommend any of the punches on tap because they taste super premade and strongly of alcohol. I tasted all of them via the flight and I didn't enjoy a single one.
